Corbu

Corbu

Disregarding his doctor's orders, The Crow-like One stripped down to his skin and went for a swim in the sea. France is hot in August, and, being entirely modern, Corbu took pleasure in snubbing this rule, which may have been just that (some arbitrarily decided thing that one says perfunctorily at a seemingly appropriate occasion - like a visit to the doctor for some chest pains, or some such ailment.) So the Crow lowered himself into the water calmly, as only an old Corbu would. He sank, he swam, he splashed and, within a few moments, he died. Some bathers found him shortly after and even Dali, his most intense artistic enemy, was compelled to send a magnificent wreath of flowers upon the occasion of his funeral.
