He straightens his tie needlessly before composing the following sentence in an email addressed to a member of the opposing counsel, a single sentence that would delight poor Kafka's cold heart if only the lawyer only knew who he was:
"I believe that I reasonably inferred from what I reasonably believed you implied that you were threatening to call off the depositions.
