Visotactile

Visotactile

An old adjective of the 1600's variety having to do with a confusion or, perhaps, a miraculous symbiosis of our senses. Viso - of course, relating to the visual. Tactile - ho ho hum, the touching touchiness of a thing. We've done this before.

A confusion, perhaps, because seeing and touching are so many infinite worlds apart that it seems the two senses could never mate and blend so clearly, without turning into a muddiness of color and grope. A person could see something without touching it, and the versa of that is viced nicely - darkened bedroom, blurry eyes, finding a doorknob despite these great obstacles.
Believability is based on sight and touch for us persons. We demand our fingertips to identify the object, and rely upon the eyes to confirm.

Garbage, discarded only to be collected into a corner. Dark hallway, unseen and sighing. The two combined, touch with vision, create a third state which is harmony.
