Anxiety

Anxiety

Not only having to take a sleeping pill in the middle of the night, but then neutralizing the physical effects of said pill by worrying frantically whether or not the thing actually went down correctly. And, if it didn't, what will happen in the morning if one were to, say, take a sip of water only to dislodge the stuck pill and force sleep at the absolute wrong time. Anxiety is this pill, caught mid-swallow and rendered useless. Sleep never comes, and often finally breaking down and trying to help it simply means adding more stress onto the already impossible situation of slumber.
